'A series of short stories I have been writing. The main character is a theif, called Goldwin. Here is the first story:
Idiotic Acts
A Thief’s Trickery: Idiotic Acts
Masis watched Goldwin with annoyance. Goldwin had recently been in a fight with a trio of thieves from another guild. Since it had been three on one Goldwin, had suffered countless serious wounds. Goldwin had ‘fled’ or so they thought. Instead he had spied on them, henceforth discovering the guild’s location. Due to his discovery, Goldwin was now at the edge of the border of the two guilds. He was hunched over a rotten tree stump and upon it laid a map, in which Goldwin was using to help plan his idea. He was mumbling to himself until Masis shoved him for his attention, “Goldwin, you are being stupid,” stated Masis. Goldwin paused, “Who says? Besides I wouldn’t call it stupid.” “What would you call it?” sighed Masis. Goldwin smirked, “More cocky…..or perhaps courageous.” Masis glared at him, ”It is not cocky and defiantly not courageous! It’s completely stupid because of your condition!” “Well I use to be cocky, guess I’m now stupid. You know what they say, things change,” laughed Goldwin, “They also say change is good!” “Goldwin!” shouted Masis in annoyance, ” I can not and will not allow you to go through with your….your stupid plan! You have to be healed and I will use force if I have to!” “I do not need to be healed just yet,” sighed Goldwin, “I’m perfectly, “he flinched from the sudden pain, “fine.” “No Goldwin, you are not, “replied Masis, “You are losing too much blood and soon you won’t be able to move or worst!” Goldwin laughed dryly, “I’m still moving, I’m still talking, I’m still breathing, heck I’m even still bleeding!” “Yea. I know and you are losing buckets of blood by the minute!“ shouted Masis. “Well I don’t nearly have that much blood,” laughed Goldwin, “But I’m still not leaving.” Masis snorted, “Fine I’ll have to then.” Goldwin glanced up to see Masis form into a pitch black dragon. Masis’s eyes laughed as he advanced towards Goldwin. Goldwin started backing up as he cried out to Masis, “Masis….Masis….stop right there. Masis, stop. Don’t come near me. Stay there! Masis! MASIS! Don’t pick me uppp!”

“Yuna,” roared Masis gently, “It’s time to go.” The little seven year old ran to where Masis was and giggled at the sight before her eyes. Masis was holding Goldwin upside down by his left foot. On Masis’s face was a pleased look and on Goldwin’s, an expression of sheer annoyance. Goldwin folded his arms across his chest and glowered at Masis, “What are you doing?” Masis smiled lightly, “I holding you upside down so your blood will rush to your head instead of out of you.” Goldwin gave him a look of pure disgust, “That is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard. A chuckle rumbled in Masis’s throat, “Who knows it might just work. And hey, it might help your brain work faster so you actually will think for once.” Goldwin attempted kicking Masis in the jaws with his free foot but was too slow. Masis continued to chuckle at Goldwin’s foolish attempt as Yuna scampered up his scaly back. Once she was on securely Masis unfolded his large wings and took off into the sky, with Goldwin still dangling in his hand.

And the second story but by the way keep in mind GOldwin is the young boy, it is only told through Masis's perspective :
First Meeting
Masis strolled down the streets slowly. It stunk of poverty down here and the few people along the road’s edge proved it. Even though one person caught the old thief’s eyes. It was a little boy that appeared to be 7 years old. From far off it could be seen that he was battered up yet closer up you could see that within his eyes, there were sparks of determination. Masis’s attention was also caught by the unusual white hair and his rare shade of silver blue eyes. He halted before the young boy and gazed down at him. The little boy glanced up at him and stared at Masis. Masis noticed that the was not tense, frightened, or even intimidated by Masis’s demon red eyes Instead the boy looked at him with curiosity as if there was something interesting about him. Masis spoke lightly to him, “What are you doing boy? Don’t you have parents, siblings, family, or friends to be with?” The young boy paused for a moment before replying, “Indeed….I do.” “Why do you not go to them?” The boy shrugged, “Because I am waiting for ‘em. My father is off stealing and so I wait for his return.” Masis stared at the boy in surprise. His father was a thief! If it was true then if the father was in a guild then the boy should be back at the guild area, not on the streets by himself. Masis asked the boy, “Does your father belong to a thief guild?” The boy shook his head, “Nah, he prefers going on his own.” Masis sighed lightly, if that man truly loved his son, wouldn’t he do the best for him and just join a thief guild. He nodded lightly and began to walk off, “Well then, fare well.” The boy paused before saying softly, “I know you… my father told me about you. The red eyed thief, the oldest thief in this world and history. Going all the way back to the beginning of the thief history.” Masis smirked lightly, “So you know that too...”

and the third ^^:
Death's Misery
Goldwin leaned against a cold stone wall. He glanced towards his left at the alley entry. Where was his father? Sighing he gazed up at the cloudless night. The pale moon shown vibrantly against the dark night sky. Tiny stars were speckled across the sky, tiny gleaming specks compared to the moon’s radiant rays. Goldwin closed his eyes lightly for a moment before pushing himself from the wall. He began to stride in the direction that his father had departed in earlier. His light foot steps created little taps that echoed lightly through the alleyway. Looking up he wondered, ‘Father said that he was going to go into the Boarding Forest. He said that it was a desperate cause so he said that he was going to go to the Blodera side. He also said he would be back by midnight but judging the moon’s position in the sky, it’s past midnight.’ Goldwin broke into a sprint, soon reaching the vast forest that stretched through out the countries of Blodera, Gojumru, and Aliwa. With fierce determination showing in his eyes he broke through the foliage and advanced towards the Blodera border. Goldwin came to a stop when he reached the end of Gojumru. He glanced to the warning that a Gojumru mage had made. It was an illusion of a floating skull with a bloody sword slashed through it. Goldwin shuddered at the sight but knew that he had to continue on to find is father. With a quick sigh he continued forward, leaving Gojumru behind and entering Blodera’s deadly borders. Goldwin walked both slower and quieter when he was within Blodera. To him the forest seemed to become darker, eerier, more dangerous, and somewhat more mysterious and addicting. This part seemed to enchant you and lure you in farther and farther into the forest. Goldwin looked around the dim forest slowly, his carefully trained eyes picking up just about every detail. He halted for a moment and that was when it heard it. A low moan reached his ears and immediately Goldwin was filled wit dread. He shouted out, “Father!” Goldwin paused for a moment, straining his ears to catch some sort of response. When he heard none, he immediately thought that his mind was just playing tricks on him. He turned around, ready to leave when he heard a raspy voice call out, “Goldwin!?!? Goldwin are you out there?” Goldwin pivoted around and took off in the direction that the voice had come from. He crashed through the forest, creating loud ruckus. He soon came out into a small clearing. The moon’s rays laid upon the haunted land, shadows of the forest danced slowly around him as the trees swayed in the wind currents that sliced through the quiet forest. It was then that Goldwin noticed the battered figure lying on the ground. With a gasp, Goldwin scurried over to them, startled by how torn up and bloody the fallen thief was. Goldwin collapsed to his knees, tears welling up within his miserable silver blue eyes. He murmured faintly, “Oh…father.” The man opened his eyelids to reveal his weary brown eyes. He responded in his hoarse tone, “Goldwin, what are you doing here?” Goldwin stammered, “Searching for you, since you never... returned. Wha-what happened?” His father grimaced and replied through gritted teeth, “Ambushed by a thief hunter. Promise me you won’t go looking for them. Instead go back, find a guild, then find someone willing to finish your training. Only then with training down seek him for you’re no match right now.” Goldwin trembled as he watched his dying father, “But who did this?” His father replied slowly, “Sir Lorcan of Blodera. Blodera’s number 1 thief hunter. Run my boy. Run. He’s near Goldwin.” His father’s last breath rattled through his throat, leaving as a soft sigh. His eyes closed for the last time as he passed along. The tears that had been stinging Goldwin’s eyes were now trickling down his cheeks. He bowed his head and began to shake as he sobbed over his fallen father. He said softly, “Goodbye…father.” A rumbling chuckle startled Goldwin. It was followed by a deep and bitter voice, “A thief’s son must be a thief as well, eh?” Goldwin glanced up slowly to see a tall broad man sitting upon a enormous black warhorse. The man had cold emerald eyes and long black hair. His warhorse was a tall and extremely muscular Friesian stallion. Next to the two stood an overly large black wolf that appeared to be part demon due to its long razor-sharp fangs, curled claws, golden eyes, and its spiky fur. Goldwin leaped to his feet and pivoted around. Without wasting time he dashed off towards the Gojumru boundaries thinking, ‘It’s Lorcan!’ Lorcan chuckled from his amusement. To the wolf he said, “I’ve had my fun it’s your turn. So sic him.” The wolf snarled lightly before letting out a howl that ripped through the silent night, signaling the beginning of the hunt. With a powerful leap he sprinted after the fleeing Goldwin. Goldwin sprinted as quick as he could through the thick woods. Behind him he could hear the beast following. His heart began to race each thump coming faster and faster as his panting became shorter and raspier as he struggled to seize air. Goldwin’s eyes widened as his left foot was entrapped by a knotted tree root, causing him to stagger and plummet to the ground. He flipped over onto his back and watched in horror as the giant wolf pounced towards him.

Here's the fourth story :
Second Time is Always Best
Goldwin thrusted an arm up in front of him as a pathetic attempt to block the oncoming attack. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists as the large wolf demon came down upon him. He braced himself and closed his eyes tightly as he waited for the pain to strike. Instead of feeling pain, Goldwin heard a sudden whoosh followed by the wolf’s startled cries and a thwack. Goldwin opened his eyes and slowly lowered his arm to see an enormous black griffin looming before him, standing proudly and looking dignified. Its red eyes shone with determination and power as it watched the wolf demon with disgust. The griffin unfolded its magnificent wings and hissed at the wolf before him. Lifting into the air he pivoted and flew towards Goldwin. It opened its talons and as it passed over, entrapped Goldwin’s shoulders within his claws. With a large pump of his massive wings he gained height, soon flying above the forest with Goldwin dangling from his talons. Down below Sir Lorcan shouted his anger at the griffin in a series of curses. The wolf demon glared up at the griffin and he leaped up, snapping at the air as if trying to pull the griffin out of the sky. Goldwin could hear Sir Lorcan’s words that drifted up to them echo through his ears “I will get you one day boy! I will never forget you!” Goldwin was too far away to hear the rest of what Lorcan said, but what he had heard caused him to shudder in the griffin’s hold. The two flew in silence until they reached the Gojumru side. Goldwin was happy that it didn’t take very long for the silence had made him quite uncomfortable. Once the griffin spotted an open clearing he swooped down towards it. Once close enough to the ground he opened his talons, dropping Goldwin onto the ground. Once Goldwin hit the ground he tumbled into a heap. The griffin landed near him as Goldwin struggled to sit up with a wince. Goldwin leaned against a tree and watched as the griffin formed into Masis. Masis’s red eyes glared at Goldwin. The look reminded Goldwin of a saying and so in his mind he kept hearing over and over If looks could kill… If looks could kill… Goldwin shuddered from the stare and officially named it Masis’s death stare. Masis began shouting at Goldwin, “What were you doing?!?! Going over there! That’s Blodera for crying out loud! What made you think that you would actually survive over there?!?!” Goldwin bit his trembling lower lip. He shook slightly for a moment and said softly, “I’m sorry….” “I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” shouted the enraged Masis, “That’s all you can say! I’m sorry! Do you know what would have happened if I had never had in the area?!?” Goldwin began shaking violently, he couldn’t take this. Not after what happened. He pulled his legs up to his chest and wrapped his arms around them. He buried his face between his knees and sobbed, “I don’t know what else to say.” When the boy broke into tears Masis’s anger broke down, replaced by a worried face. He knelt before Goldwin and placed a hand lightly upon his shoulder, “What’s wrong?” It took Goldwin some time but he managed to hiccup, “My…..father.” Masis watched him and continued to question him, “What happened?” Goldwin heaved and some how managed to let out a heavy sigh, calming his fierce sobs. He continued, “My father was…..killed….by Lorcan.” He glanced up at Masis with his teary eyes. His face appeared to be one of a saddened little kid whose beloved toy had been taken away from him, not a 13 year old. He somehow said softly, “I have no where to go….I don’t know what to do.” Masis sighed lightly before standing. He extended a hand to Goldwin and said, “Well you could always come with me. There is always room at the guild for another thief.” Goldwin stared at Masis with bewilderment. He actually meant that? Goldwin thought for a moment. Originally after hearing of Lorcan he hadn’t of thought of taking up thievery again. Lorcan had frightened him so badly that he felt like he couldn’t summon up enough bravery to become a thief once more, knowing that he’d have to face Lorcan in the end. Yet after being with Masis, the bravery had came to him singing loudly, of the deeds that he could accomplish. Of the success that lurk ahead. Of how he had to live a thief’s adventurous and wild life to its fullest, even if it meant seeing Lorcan. He now had the courage to continue on as a thief. He now had the courage to become the thief that he was destined to be and to train to achieve the power to hopefully defeat or at least survive his next meeting with Lorcan. With a smirk he reached out and grabbed Masis’s hand, allowing Masis to pull him to his feet. He was ready to face the future.
